General rules for play on your account
Play is open to customers aged 18 or over. We hold a gaming licence and verify the identity of account holders, and stakes may only be placed from a verified account in your own name.
- One account per person. One account per person, household, shared device and payment method. Where a duplicate account is found, we may close it and void stakes placed on it.
- Real money and bonus funds are separate. Your balance may hold real money, bonus funds or both. The cashier shows which funds a stake draws on and the order in which they are used.
- Bets are final once placed. A spin, hand or round cannot be cancelled, changed or taken back once you confirm it, and a stake is not returned because the result was not the one you wanted.
- Stake limits apply per game. The minimum and maximum stake for each game is shown in the game itself. Any limits you have set yourself apply on top of these and are shown in your account.
- You stake for yourself. You may not place stakes for another person, on another person's instruction, or as part of any arrangement intended to work around these rules. Amounts are shown in the currency of your account, for example £500.
Confirming a stake
Once you confirm a stake the round is live and the bet stands. Double-check the stake level and the game you are in before you play, particularly after switching between real money and bonus funds.
How bets and spins are settled
Every game you open runs on a game server. The result recorded on that server is the result that settles your stake, and it is the record we rely on if a question is raised later.
The server record decides the outcome
What appears on your screen is a display of the round, not the round itself. If the display disagrees with the server record, because of a graphics fault, a stale page or a slow connection, the server record stands and your balance is settled against it.
In-game rules and paytables apply
Each game carries its own rules, paytable and feature descriptions in its help or information screen. Those rules form part of these betting rules for that game and cover which combinations pay, how lines or ways are counted, how features are triggered and how any maximum win is applied.
Return to player
The theoretical return-to-player figure is shown in each game's information screen. It describes an average across a very large number of rounds and says nothing about a single session. Outcomes come from a random number generator, each round is independent, and earlier results do not change the chance of the next one.
| What you want to check | Where to look |
|---|---|
| Paytable, lines and features | The help or information screen inside the game |
| Minimum and maximum stake | The stake selector inside the game |
| Return-to-player figure | The help or information screen inside the game |
| Your own deposit and stake limits | The limits shown in your account |
| Wagering and game contributions | The bonus terms shown in the cashier |
Malfunctions and interrupted games
Hardware, software and network faults happen. The rules below set out what we do when a round does not complete normally.
- A malfunction voids all pays and play. If a game, server or communication fault causes a round to be recorded or paid incorrectly, that round and any pay from it are void, and stakes are returned to the balance they came from.
- Reconnection. If your connection drops part-way through a round, open the same game again from the lobby. An unfinished round either resumes from the point it reached or is settled on the server, depending on the game.
- Rounds settled while you are away. Where a round is completed in your absence, the result and any win are applied to your balance and appear in your game history.
- Duplicated or incorrect displays. Where a round appears or pays twice, or shows a result the server did not record, we correct the balance to match the server record and tell you what was adjusted.
If a game stops responding
Close the game and open it again from the lobby rather than refreshing repeatedly. Your game history will show the state of the round; if it is still unclear, send us the game name, the time and the round identifier.
Playing with bonus funds
Bonus funds, free spins and similar offers carry conditions. Those conditions are shown with the offer before you accept it and in the bonus terms in the cashier.
- The bonus terms govern the offer. Wagering requirements, qualifying games, the time allowed to use the funds and any cap on what can be withdrawn are set out in the terms for that offer.
- Maximum stake while wagering. A maximum stake applies while a wagering requirement is open and is shown in the bonus terms. Rounds placed above it may be void, together with the bonus and any winnings from it.
- Game contributions differ. Games contribute to wagering at different rates and some are excluded. The rate for each category is shown in the bonus terms, so check it before you start.
- The same game rules apply. Settlement, malfunctions and in-game paytables work the same way whether you are staking real money or bonus funds.
Live casino and table games
Live tables are dealt by a dealer in a studio and streamed to your device. These rules apply alongside the rules for the specific table you join.
- The dealer's decision stands. Where a round is dealt by a person, the dealer's call at the table, as confirmed by the studio record, settles the round.
- Betting time. Each round has a betting window shown by the timer. A stake that is not confirmed before the window closes is a late bet, is not accepted, and stays in your balance.
- Game-specific rules. Payouts, side bets, splitting, insurance, misdeals and void hands are set out in the help screen for each table and differ between tables, including tables of the same game type.
- Studio errors and seats. Where a card is exposed in error, a result is not valid or the studio cannot complete a round, the round is void under the table's rules and stakes are returned. Chat is moderated, and a seat may be released if you do not stake for several rounds.
Questions about a settled round
If you believe a round was settled incorrectly, contact us and we will look into it against the server record.
- Write to support@casino-tote.co.uk, or use the live chat on the site.
- Give us the game name, the date and time of the round, and the round identifier shown in your game history.
- Avoid replaying the same game until we have answered, so that the history stays clear.
- We will confirm what the server recorded, correct your balance if an error is found, and explain the outcome in writing. If you are not satisfied, our complaints procedure sets out the next step, including the alternative dispute resolution service named there.
Staying in control
Our games are for players aged 18 or over. You can set deposit limits, take a time-out or self-exclude from your account at any time, and the limits shown in your account apply to every game. Free, confidential support is available from GambleAware, GamCare and the National Gambling Helpline, and GamStop lets you self-exclude from licensed online gambling sites in one step.
